Our Great Blue Skimmer plantable wildflower seed panel card features original artwork by Good Deeds and is printed on handmade plantable seed paper that is embedded with native wildflower seeds and made from post-consumer waste.  When planted, the cards will grow a beautiful pollinator garden reminiscent of the Cape May Point Science Center with blooms in pink, purple, yellow, and orange.

This special seed paper was developed in an effort to support pollinators, restore habitats, increase native biodiversity, and provide critical food for the iconic yet vulnerable Monarch Butterfly. The embedded seeds include common milkweed, old field goldenrod, butterfly weed, wild bergamot, and black-eyed susan.

How to Plant: To plant the paper, cover it with 1/8" of soil in full to partial sun and keep moist until the seeds establish. Ideal planting time in the Northeast is late fall (October-November) so that the milkweed seeds can go through the natural cold stratification process. Winter's cold and moisture helps to loosen the seed coats, enabling them to germinate in the spring.

About the Brand: Based in Cape May, NJ, Good Deeds Market is woman owned and has a small team of environmentalists who are on a mission to reduce their communities consumption of single-use plastic by providing alternatives that are refillable, reusable, compostable, plantable or as plastic-free as possible. All ingredients and materials used in their products are also natural, non-toxic, and safe for both people and the planet. They give back to the community by hosting monthly beach cleanups, donating a portion of their proceeds to ecological organizations, and funding tree plantings and climate projects around the world.

3. Keep the soil and paper moist

4. Seedlings should appear in 4-10 days
