About the author: Arounna Khounnoraj is a Toronto-based Canadian artist and maker who emigrated with her family from Laos at the age of four. With a Masters in fine arts, she later discovered her passion for fibre arts during artist residencies. In 2002, she and her husband, John Booth, founded Bookhou, a multidisciplinary studio creating printed and embroidered bags, home goods, and textiles. She is the author of Punch Needle (2019), Embroidery (2022), and Winter Celebrations (2023).
